The Team
Maxi's enthusiasm and inventive spirit led him to come up with the idea and develop the process engineering principles for the Simplyfined process as part of his doctoral studies. In doing so, Maxi laid the foundation for Simplyfined.

Every industry must contribute to the fight against climate change. Max's goal is to show the chemical industry ways to reduce Scope 3 emissions. He brings his international experience in corporate organization to bear every day—for the 1.5-degree target and carbon neutrality.

January 2021
Maxi starts with the promotion.
Assumption: Polyunsaturated vegetable oils prevent the technical and economic processing of renewable oils in the chemical industry.
In order to make the raw materials usable, a catalytic process for standardizing vegetable oils is to be developed.
October 2022
Successful tests on a laboratory scale.
The initial scaling stages are proceeding successfully, and ideas for commercialization are emerging.
March 2024
€1.7 million in funding approved.
Approval for EXIST research transfer – a decisive step toward securing financial backing for the project.
May 2025
Switch to continuous operation
The first fully continuous reactor goes into operation
June 2025
Founding of Simplyfined GmbH.
The project is officially established as a company: Simplyfined GmbH is founded.
